Pioneering O3 Research | ISS in Italy authorizes the use of Ozone Therapy to treat COVID-19 patients
OZONE THERAPY AND THE FIGHT AGAINST COVID-19
The Scientific Society of Oxygen and Ozone Therapy (SIOOT) announced on 3 April 2020 that at least 17 hospital centres were using oxygen-ozone to treat patients that were positive for COVID-19. The Scientific Secretary of the President of the “Istituto Superiore di Sanita” (ISS) [The Superior Health Institute] authorized the use of Ozone Therapy for the treatment of COVID-19 positive patients, according to a letter that was sent on 24 March 2020 to the SIOOT.
The letter declares that the SIOOT protocol proposal for the potential use of Ozone Therapy with oxygen “in the treatment of pneumonia by interstitial coronavirus has been carefully evaluated by some experts from the ISS”.
Professor Mariano Franzini, President of SIOOT International, said: “A doctor who is treating COVID-19 patients revealed to me that no treatment protocol is giving the same results as Ozone Therapy”.
SIOOT reminded that:
According to the results obtained from an experiment carried out in the Chinese P3 National Laboratory directed by Professor Li Zelin, Ozone has demonstrated to be effective in killing the SARS virus inoculated in renal cells of green monkey, achieving a lethal rate of 99.2%.
The Wuhan virus and the SARS virus belong to the coronavirus strain. The researchers found that COVID-19 is 80% similar to the SARS virus. Therefore, it is reasonable to foresee that ozone can be equally effective in the prevention and control of the new coronavirus.
The medical doctors of SIOOT have treated many patients with bronchopneumonia using the SIOOT oxygen and ozone therapy. The results obtained from the Ozone Therapy were excellent. The duration of the disease was reduced and the prompt recovery of hypoxemia in the patients was highlighted.
